Today I did my portion of the signing for the selling of my house. The official closing date is Thursday (June 13th). However, we are all moved out of the house and are living with my mom and dad until we leave for Greece (we now have an official leaving date of July 14).
It was bitter sweet finishing up moving and cleaning yesterday. I am so excited for the new adventures that await us. However, the house had a lot of good memories. Firstly, because it was my first house. I was proud to own it all by myself, especially because I think it was a really nice condo.
No one can forget all the amazing memories that were made in that house. It was the first real house the boys ever had. It is where Leider lost his first tooth, Miller learned to roller skate, where we played countless board games and read countless stories.
Finally, last year, my Uncle Greg and I built the basement together. I am not only proud of his and my handy work, but also the special time I was able to spend with my uncle for the week and a half it took the build the basement. It was probably hardest to leave the house knowing that the boys and I were only able to enjoy the basement Uncle Greg and I built for a year and knowing that Uncle Greg and I would probably never build a basement together again.
So, to commemorate all those amazing memories, I took photos of the house (unfortunately empty), so that I could remember it forever. We will have many more homes and make many more memories throughout the years, but this was our first.
On to new adventures!
Here is the tribute to our house in photos (pretty much all the photos are of Uncle Greg's amazing basement handy work):
